What we haul in Akron
Most of Akron went up for rubber workers, which means street after street of early-1900s two-stories with a full basement underneath and a walk-up attic on top. Those two spaces are where forty years of belongings quietly end up, and between them they account for most of what we get called about in this city. A basement in a 1920s Akron house is not a crawlspace. It's a full storey with a narrow staircase and a turn at the bottom, and whatever went down there came down in pieces.
The older Akron streets were laid out before anybody owned two cars, so driveways are narrow and a lot of garages sit off a back alley. We work out of a pickup rather than a box truck, which is an advantage here: we can get down an alley and up a short drive that a 20-foot truck has to park and walk from. If your street is tight, say so when you call and we'll plan it.
Attic cleanouts
Walk-up attics in the old two-stories hold decades of boxes, and the stairs up are steep and narrow. We bring everything down so you don't have to.
Estate cleanouts
When a family home changes hands there's usually a deadline attached. We work at whatever pace the family needs and we don't rush anyone through it.
Rental turnovers
Akron carries a lot of rental stock. If a tenant left furniture behind and you need the unit clear by the weekend, that's a normal week for us.
We're regularly around Highland Square, Goodyear Heights, Firestone Park, Ellet, Kenmore, West Hill, Merriman Valley, North Hill, and everywhere else in Summit County.
Here's what it costs
Most companies make you call to find out. We'd rather you knew right now.
| What you've got | Price |
|---|---|
| One item, already at the curb | $85 |
| One item, inside or upstairs | $125 |
| Two or three items | $145 |
| Half a truck bed | $175 |
| Full truck bed, level | $225 |
| Full truck bed, piled high | $285 |
| Each extra load the same day | $195 |
Heavy material like concrete, dirt, brick, shingles and tile is quoted by weight instead of by space, because it hits the truck's weight limit long before it looks full. Send a photo and we'll tell you straight.

Questions we get in Akron
My street is narrow and my garage is off the alley. Is that a problem?
No, and it's part of why we run a pickup instead of a box truck. We can usually get right up to an alley garage in Highland Square or Goodyear Heights where a bigger truck would have to park on the street and carry everything out.
Do you cover all of Akron?
Every neighbourhood, from North Hill down to Kenmore and out to Ellet. Akron is where we're based, so it's rare for an Akron job to wait more than a day.
How fast can you get here?
Often the same day. Call before noon and there's a good chance we can fit you in, and if we can't we'll tell you straight away rather than leave you waiting.
How do I pay?
Card, cash, or a payment link we text you. You pay once the truck is loaded and you've seen the space empty, never before we show up.
